Pensioners are also to get a £300 payment on top of Winter Fuel Payments for the 2023/24 winter.
All the payments are tax-free and will not count towards a person’s benefits cap, with no impact on their existing benefit award.
Many benefit payments are increasing by 10.1 percent with the new tax year in April, including Universal Credit, PIP and Pension Credit.
The state pension is also increasing by 10.1 percent in April including the basic state pension and new state pension.
